FINAL POST

Over the past eight weeks my idea has grown drastically. Not only in the physical aspect but also the technological aspect too. From being a simple guitar case to becoming one of the most highly technical guitar case available for the general public. I believe that this guitar case will revolutionize the way instruments are taken care of. Making it more user friendly then ever before.

Overall things such as databases, RFID capabilities, and an entire CPU motherboard on the case I believe that this product will be a huge hit in not only the music business but also the technology business too. All of the available perks associated with the will make the product better while also making it different from our competitors. My idea has grown and finally i believe that thee product is perfect and ready for the world to see.

This was a unique project, but I enjoyed it, made me think quite a bit.

Finally, my three comments are as followed:

http://davematthewsblog.com/ : Famous Blog

For my famous blog i choose the Dave Matthews Band blog. The reason i chose this was because i have a passion for the music of DMB. Every since i could remember, I've listened to them. The blog contain everything to tour dates, recent news, and for the hard core DMB fans out there, the limited edition posters sold at every single show they preform.

Another cool perk this blog has is a video tab that allows the fan to look at hundreds of recent to old videos of the band and their fans. The blog also keeps track of twitter user and it also has its very own twitter to keep you up to date on news and tours etc.

The blog has been created by the fans of DMB and if you have and account under the website you can post a blog too, which also differentiates itself from other blogs out there.

Database Technology

I believe that establishing a database to keep track and organize all of my products is an important way to keep my business running smoothly. All businesses have or had have a database to help them keep organized. To keep track of all of our orders, statistics, and help decision making the database will be utilized. For example, if I asked for a quick snap shot over a one year period to see how our sales trended that one of my employees would be able to access that by the use of the database.

Another way I can use this tool is to keep track of my products being shipped and what our inventory is on each product. Another good perk of this is to keep good security and who has access to all of our inventory. The database will also be equipped with Multi-user control so that we can assure that thousands of users can simultaneously access or database.

I believe that this differs us from the composition and makes us better by making us different, which is important because i think difference sells in the long run. Also, our database and webpage will be easy to access and user friendly. WHen the customers are all happy then in the end we will be happy too.

Operating Systems-Guitar Cases

An important tool to make this idea fall together is that it needs a solid operating system that will ensure that the case will work properly. The way the case will make sure that the temperature and humidity is constant has to do with the kernel. The kernel will act as the organizer and pretty much control the entire processes of the case.

With the kernel, every detail wither it being the temp or the percent humidity, will be processed and evaluated to ensure that the instrument within the case it in good shape. The cases will also be equipped with a pre-emp. multitasking feature that allows it to do multiple things at once, and accurately.

I believe that this sets our selves apart from the competition because our CPU will be state of the art and will ensure that our system is an overall better product than the next. Using open-source software will also ensure that our customer can easily modify each of their products to their liking. Simply put, i believe that my idea will be superior to any other competitor.

Music Capabilites MP3

Another way to improve this product is to give it the ability to record what is being played when a musician is playing the instrument. The guitar will connected to the case wireless or wired to record the sound being amplified. The sounds will be transformed into MP3 or wav, customer preference. This will come in handy because when song idea pop into musicians heads they dont always have a recording device.

The song quality will be great as is will be recorded at just the right frequency. From there you can either transport it to a computer using USB and edit it on the computer also. All of the systems information will be written in bits to assure accuracy and dependability. High quality sound is essential because it is the business that were in.

Musicians depend on good sounding equipment and I believe that this product will not let them down. There are many perks that will assure accuracy and good sound of the instruments. Once the customer sees that our product is worthy that we will grow, i believe it.

Google Wallet Capabilities

Customers will have the option to pay with either cash or google wallet. I believe that this will increase our customer population along with making it more convenient for our customer as a whole. A well-composed image makes all the difference. The case will also have to capabilities to  take pictures with a camera with a high number of mega pixels to get good close-ups to ensure that the instrument has no cracks/dents.

I believe that all of these capabilities will ensure our customers  satisfaction and also with our good reputation it will bring more customers in. Since passive RFID tags are extremely inexpensive and it would be easy to use an RFID reader at the store. Each of the cases and guitars with be equiped with the RFID patches.

Over all i believe that this will help my business. Also, improve my customers.

Guitar Case w/RFID Capabilities

Another option for a buyer is to have a built in RFID. For touring bands it is likely to have several separate instruments to assure that if one fails then there will be another to back up. However, it is extremely difficult to keep track off all of the guitar cases the musicians has. I believe that the RFID system will be a tool that is much easier to keep accurate track of the instruments.

Once all of the equipment is packed up after a show the band must board a bus to be on their way to the next venue. The band techs want to have a tool that is trustworthy to make sure they leave with what the band came with. Everything will be equipped with a small RFID an when the techs are finished packing all of the instruments/guitar cases one quick swiped of a wand will assure them that everything is accounted for.

If things go missing, for instance a guitar case or an amp the RFID will have a tracking device on it to help assist the tech to find it more easier. It is very important to make sure that you have all of you stuff cause if a musician loses one their down perhaps thousands of dollars.

Guitar Case Motherboard & USB Capabilities

Another good idea that I believe will improve this case is that the case will have a built in mother board and have the capabilities to connect to guitars through a USB cable. Also, for security purposes the case will be equip with a built in key-pad pass word in order to improve the security aspect of the case. I believe that this will keep the musicians mind off their instruments and will keep their mind at ease.

In regards to the motherboard, it will consist of an on-board  thermometer that will monitor the temp of not only the case but the guitar also just to insure that the guitar is properly treated in the correct temp. If the temp/humidity drops above/below a certain point the motherboard will send a relay message to the thermometer to correct both the temp/humidity. Overtime we could see technology improvement that will affect our design and maybe even improve it.

One may ask, "How is the case going to automatically know the exact temp of the guitar?". My answer to that is USB. Most high-end guitars are equip with USB ports. When plugged into the thermometer it will give whoever is using the guitar an exact numerical temp (F or C). With the USB capabilities the motherboard will monitor the temp/humidity 24/7.

Guitar Case Auto-Humidifier/Thermometer

I've been playing guitar for about 4 years now. When I first started out I was just learning therefore I didn't need an expensive instrument. Who knew if I was even going to stick to it? Now, if you don't know  much about guitar I will first tell you that the most expensive guitars are made and put together in a certain temperature and humidity. Brands of guitars such as CF Martin, Taylor, and Fenders are typically made and assembled at 72-74 degree(F) and 45-55 percent humidity. These guitars can reach up to $10,000 or higher in price, therfore the owner of these need to take very good care of them to maintain the sound and quality of the wood. If they don't maintain the guitar it will be damaged and possibly not even be usable.

Ideally the owners of these guitars need to use a little probe like utensil to stick in the guitar to keep the humidity up and temperature up also. My idea however I believe will revolutionize the way people maintain their guitars and other expensive instruments. I would like to propose a guitar/instrument case that is remotely operated to keep the humidity and temperature at a steady degree/percent to maintain the guitars wood and health. I believe that this will make it easier for the musician to keep better care of their instruments because sometimes musicians forget to humidify their guitars. However, my case will always be on to maintain the necessary temperature and humidity so that the musician can forget about doing it manually.

I believe that this could be big in the world of guitars because where I live, Syracuse, NY, it can get down to -20 degrees(F) with no humidity. These intense conditions could harm the guitars wood and even destroy it. I learned this the hard way. Yet, this case can assure that the guitar will remain at the same temperature and humidity through all of the intense winter months. This idea will not only save guitar in the long run, but it will also save thousands of dollars for musicians. This case will have a thermostat attached to it so that the use knows at all times that their instruments are in good conditions.
